FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Branson, MO – Mr. Gail Myer, VP of Operations for Myer Hotels, will don a chicken suit this Friday, October 20th, and stand on Highway 76 in front of the Best Western Center Pointe Inn from 11:30 to 12:30 waving to all passersby as an expression of his gratitude to the Myer Hotels team for their exceptional service. Gail will also be by the Lake Taneycomo Bridge from 4:00 to 5:30 thanking Branson’s service workers at large.
This escapade is the result of a challenge Mr. Myer presented to the managers of Myer Hotels’ five properties earlier in the year: if the hotels were awarded the highest service honors from their respective chains, he would stand on the side of the road in the most outrageous chicken suit he could find and thank the Myer Hotels team as they left work.
“We all agreed Myer Hotels’ staff was able to provide world class service done so well our customers would return home and tell others,” noted Gail. “This deal developed from that.”
The hotels rose to the occasion. Both the Best Western Center Pointe Inn and Best Western Music Capital Inn received the Director’s Award with impressively perfect housekeeping scores. The Comfort Inns were not to be outdone: the Comfort Inn West received a Platinum Award, the Comfort Inn & Suites received a Platinum Best of the Brand Award and the Comfort Inn & Suites was named a Choice Inn of the Year finalist (one of three properties out of 1,400 hotels nationally).
“Although the awards are wonderful, the thing I am most pleased with is the fact our team members grasp the heart of what makes such honors achievable,” stated Gail. “They understand that this business is all about service, that true leaders can only lead by serving others and that the significance of Branson is authentic connections between residents and visitors.”
