Branson, MO – After successful completion of a 5-week training program, Dee Dee Swanson and Jeff Mann, of the Comfort Inn at Thousand Hills have been certified by the Branson Fire Department as members of our Community Emergency Response Team. Swanson and Mann will be able to provide basic emergency response after a disaster, meeting critical needs when first responders are unavailable.
The focus of their training required completion in the following courses:
• Emergency Preparedness
• Fire Safety
• Emergency Medical Operations
• Light Search and Rescue
• CERT Team Organization
• Disaster Psychology
• Personal Safety and Property Protection
• Animal Care and Protection
• Course Review and Disaster Drill

Swanson has also completed certification as a CERT instructor and can now teach disaster preparedness classes for 2008. Manns currently volunteers at the local fire department and plans to pursue law enforcement training in 2008.
